Korean and Japanese combined worship service

IJCS and Word of Life church had combined worship service on August 10th.  15 August is Korean independent day  and Japanese Surrender memorial day.  Japan also remember 6 August is for Hiroshima and 9 August is for Nagasaki atomic bamb memorial day.
We remember peace in August and remind never repeat war in future.
Word of Life Korean church has worship at 10:00 and 12:00.
As a country, Japan and Korea had been tention these days regarding "comfort woman" 's matter and Japan and Korea border problems.
Under Japanese colonical occupation between 1910-1945, Korean people received suffering and discriminated.
But Korean churches are sending many missionaries to Japan.  And there are many Korean pastors in Japanese churhes and they are respected to take leadership in Japanese churches.
With Korean Christian's fervant prayers and forgiveness,  Japanese churches are sharing Gospel in Japanese society.
Rev.Ito,  a pastor of International Japanese Church of Singapore shared the message from 2 Corintians 5:17-21 under the title of  "Ministry of Reconciliation".
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."
We are Christ's ambassadors of reconciliation.
Both Korean and Japanese Christian have this mission to be peace builder through worshiping the same Lord.

We enjoyed hand made Korean lunch very much.

Then from 4:00 pm, we worship together at IJCS.  32 Word of Life members visited IJCS and this day our worship attandance was 85.  This is the highest worship attendance of IJCS.
 We heard children's message together.
Issac and Ishmael both son of Abraham but Ishmael's mother is Hagar, Hagar and Ishmael were sent away.
But both Issac and Ishmael both buried Abraham together.  They worshiped together at Abraham's funeral.
This message was meaningful to hear when   both Korean and Japanese church worship together.

Korean church choir was so beautiful.
After they sang two songs, one Korean beautiful hymn and another is "Still", we sang "Kimi wa aisareru tame umareta" very popular Korean song and popular in Japanese too.  We sang both Japanese and Korean.
Rev.Han 's message is" Love God and Love your neightbour as yourself"  from Mark 12:28-34.

Rev.Han's message is always deeply related on Scriptures.

Korean church members enjoyed fellowship with Japanese snacks.
